The Patricia C. Inskeep Library houses an impressive collection of over 15,000 volumes in French, Spanish, German, Mandarin Chinese, and English. The collection includes picture books, chapter books, fiction and nonfiction, magazines, audiobooks, and ebooks. We offer access to a growing list of password-protected online research tools.
Our multilingual collection includes books in languages which are not necessarily taught at our school, but which are spoken in our multicultural community.
We encourage parents, students, and staff to visit the Library, borrow resources, and ask for recommendations. Our bilingual staff will assist in finding print and online materials for research and fiction reading.
The Library collaborates closely with the teachers to reflect in its programs, the work done in class, and to help develop information literacy at all levels. Lower School students visit the library once a week for story time in French, book selection, and research workshops. Middle School students come to the Library individually to do research, browse, and select books.
Preschool students visited the library with their teachers and 3rd grade "partenaires" (French for “partners”).
