FAIS students have enjoyed her books for years. Yesterday, we were thrilled to welcome acclaimed French author, Orianne Lallemand – known for her Petite taupe (Little Mole) series and Le Loup (The Wolf) – for a special live reading over Zoom for our prekindergarten-2nd grade classes!
This was made possible through partnership with Made in France, an organization that brings people connected with French arts and culture to the US (and is bringing poetry slammers to FAIS later this year for our older students).
We were grateful to be a part of Orianne’s West Coast tour of French establishments, which includes stops in Seattle, San Francisco, and San Diego. In addition to reading Le Loup to our students, Orianne also showed us her journal of drawings and story ideas, participated in a fun two-way Q&A session… and engaged kids in creating impromptu stories with her special guests of stuffed animal characters from her books!
Parents: Orianne’s books are available (in French and English) in the FAIS Library and La Petite Bibliothèque if you’d like to check them out to share at home… or have your kids read their favorite stories to you!
