Lower School or Gilkey parents interested in working closely with middle school students: Gilkey Green Team Mentor(s) - for 2019-2020

Are you the one to guide eco-minded Gilkey students to follow their passions? An adult (staff or parent of any age level) is needed to continue the mentorship of Gilkey’s Green Team. This group of middle school students meets weekly throughout the school year. Do you need a volunteer opportunity that provides flexibility and fits with your busy schedule? Do you want to make a difference in the future environmental impact of the forest for FAIS and beyond its boundaries? Would you like to help over the summer to prepare outdoor spaces for the start of school. The forest needs you!! Become a "forest fairy" and adopt-a-space. You may work at any time of year. You may recruit your family and friends or just work solo. You could even support the nature initiative that your child's teacher has adopted. Contact forest manager and science teacher, Beth Clifton, to hear about adopt-a-space options, set up a forest tour, develop an action plan, and create a self-directed volunteer schedule.

Do you have an interest, connections, or expertise in working with foundations, grant applications/management, or external fundraising?  If you do, please contact Ami S. Margolin at about possibly contributing to a new FAIS school task force.
