  • SEIZE THE DAY! Make Your Gift Count Double for the Center for the Arts!

The Silver Family Foun-dation (FAIS parents Tyler Silver and Joel Schudde) will match any new gifts to the Center for the Arts up to $50,000! Thanks to the generosity of our community, we’ve already raised over $300,000 toward our $450,000 goal. If you haven’t yet made a gift to the new Center for the Arts, or would like to make an additional gift, please consider writing a check or making a gift online today. Our Capital Campaign volunteers will be reaching out on the evening of May 15 to those who have not yet made a gift; we hope you will take on the Silver Challenge!

  • Sixth Graders Get 400 Petition Signatures and Support of Senators

A few weeks ago, you have seen international track public speaking 6th graders at dismissal trying to gain support for their focus bill related to punishment of animal abuse, Senate Bill 6. Or maybe you signed the online petition, now at over 400 signatures. But of course the real people they need to persuade are the legislators who will pass or reject this bill. Already having submitted testimony to the public hearings for the bill in Salem, students are now directly addressing their family's senators and legislators.

  • Grandparents and Special Friends' Day - May 9

Grandparents and Special Friends’ Day is Thursday, May 9, 2013. Each year we invite grandparents and special friends to our campus for a glimpse into the daily routine at FAIS through student art, musical performances and class activities. It is a special day for both the children and their guests, which wraps up with a generous brunch for our guests in the Annenberg Lobby. Invitations have been sent and should be arriving soon. If you have any questions or would like to add a guest to the list, contact Cris Gilman at cgilman@faispdx.org.
