Financial Aid

The purpose of financial aid at FAIS is to support the School’s mission by promoting student body diversity.

Anyone may apply for financial aid at FAIS. Awards are based on relative need. Due to the large number of applications submitted and an effort to assist as many families as possible, FAIS grants tend to be relatively small. Those who are also eligible for the French Bourse are asked to complete that application process before applying for a FAIS-based grant. All applications are considered in the strictest confidence.

Types of Aid Available

  • FAIS-Based Financial Aid from School and Student Services: all FAIS families are welcome to apply
  • The French Bourse: Financial aid from the French government offered to French citizens
  • Immersion Student Scholarshipa dedicated $5,000 per year Immersion Student Scholarship for one student entering grade six who has attended other public or private language immersion schools in the local area

The French American International School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, national or ethnic origin, disability, sex, religion, marital status, or sexual orientation in administration of its financial aid policy, or on the basis of any other characteristic protected by state or federal law.
