Center for the Arts Construction Begins

Posted February 22, 2013

FAIS students posed with hard hats and a backhoe right before initial site preparations began this week to renovate the new Center for the Arts. Thanks to some generous lead donors to the project and gifts received since the campaign launch two weeks ago, we are halfway to our fundraising goal of $450,000. The School has partnered with First Cascade, a Lake Oswego-based general contractor, to complete the renovation, which is expected to take approximately four months. Starting in fall 2013, students will be engaged in studio art, music, and movement classes in the spacious new digs, which will also include a flexible meeting space and an outdoor sculpture garden for classes, parties, and other activities. Please help us make this wonderful campus expansion by making your gift or pledge today, online or by check/pledge card in the Development Office.
