French Circus Visits FAIS

From October 29 to November 2, the School will be welcoming two French artists who specialize in the circus, theater, acrobatics, magic, juggling and more! The company Tour de cirque is touring North America and visiting French schools, and they are spending one week in Portland. On Monday, October 29, they will perform for Lower School students in the Rose Préau Commons (in the morning for the Maternelle and afternoon for the older students), and Tuesday through Friday PS-5th graders will have the opportunity to work with the two artists in the Gym. Workshops will focus on acrobatics, magic, juggling, or trapeze. Third grade classes who are working on an art unit in November will have the artists come work with them in class.
