Development Director Bids Adieu
Posted June 15, 2012
Dear Friends,
Once upon a time, a typical send off for my kids included a kiss, a hug and an encouraging reminder to “Pack your manners,” “Keep moving forward,” or “Make a difference!” Now that my girls are older, they return the favor time and again by bidding me “Adieu” with the same sentiments. It makes me laugh -- the rascals are getting even with me!
It might be silly, but I never really tire of hearing those simple statements, and they bring a smile to my face whenever I see them in action. In six and a half years at FAIS, I have witnessed countless examples of compassion, support and dedication to the greater good, all in the name of making the FAIS community a better place for everyone.
What a marked difference FAIS families make, and what incredible headway the School makes each year, thanks to your hard work and commitment. From the Annual Fund to the Annual Gala, from new family mentor to class parent, from yearbook to Facebook, from class parties to graduation parties, from community service to Board service, thank you for showing up, raising your hand, coming to the table, throwing your hat in the ring, and well, for saying YES to FAIS.
I’ll miss the FAIS community tremendously –- faculty, staff, parents, students, even grandparents! Selfishly though, I’ll be watching, taking notes from afar on all the good things to come in the near future. Merci milles fois for packing your manners, helping FAIS to keep moving forward and for making a difference!
Affectueusement,
Tricia B.
