SUMMERFEST for Ages 11 to Adult

The Summerfest 2013 program seeks to follow in the FAIS tradition of providing outstanding learning experiences for students. It is focused on creating unique and innovative opportunities in areas of learning that are fundamental to overall student development including:

  • Visual and Performing Arts
  • Physical Fitness and Performance
  • Life Skills
  • Trips and Excursions
In designing the FAIS Summerfest 2013 program, outstanding teachers were asked to create their “dream” workshops and trip experiences in areas they are passionate about and in which they excel. Working within these trips and week-long workshops, students will have the opportunity to successfully explore areas of interest in greater depth, developing key skills and new talents while enjoying the process of discovery.

Workshops are scheduled in either a full day or half day format. Full day workshops begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m., with an hour break for lunch and recess. In half day workshops, the morning class begins at 9 a.m. and finishes at 12 p.m., with the afternoon session beginning at 1 p.m. and finishing at 4 p.m. The different time frames were created to best accommodate the goals of the individual classes.

This summer we are also offering a great tripAdventure Palooza - three days of white water river rafting and camping along the Deschutes River  July 8 - 11.
